This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how we use them on georgianamanolache.ro, and how you can control their use, in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), Romanian Law 506/2004 (ePrivacy), and the EDPB Guidelines 2/2023.
1. What cookies are

Cookies do NOT run programs and CANNOT deliver viruses. They are unique to your browser and contain only anonymous or pseudonymous information.

2.1. Strictly necessary cookies (always active)
Essential for the site to function. They CANNOT be disabled.
- wordpress_logged_in_*: authenticated user session (admin)
- wp-settings-*: admin interface preferences
- woocommerce_cart_*, woocommerce_items_in_cart: WooCommerce shopping cart
- cmplz_consent_status, cmplz_choice_*: record of cookie consent

2.2. Statistics cookies (opt-in)
Used to understand how visitors interact with the site. They are NOT loaded without your consent through the banner.
- _ga, _gid, _gat (Google Analytics 4 via Site Kit), anonymous session, pages visited, duration. IP automatically anonymised by Google.

Legal basis: Explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR + Art. 4(5) of Romanian Law 506/2004).
2.3. Preference cookies (opt-in if they persist beyond the session)
Store non-essential user preferences.
- autoptimize_*: CSS/JS optimisation preferences (user cache)
2.4. Marketing cookies
We do not use marketing cookies on the site (no Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, or other ad trackers).
3. Managing consent: the cookie banner
On your first visit to the site, the cookie banner offers 3 options with equal visibility (in line with EDPB Guidelines 2/2023, paras. 70-77):
- Accept all: allows all cookie categories
- Reject all: strictly necessary cookies only
- View preferences: granular control by category
Changing your preferences at any time: the banner can be re-displayed at any moment by clicking the “Manage consent” icon in the corner of the page (Complianz floating button) or through this link.
4. Third-party cookies and international transfers
The only third-party cookie provider on the site is Google (Google Analytics 4 via Site Kit). The transfer of data to Google’s servers (USA) is carried out on the basis of:
- EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF): Google LLC certified (EC Decision 2023/1795)
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC): Decision 2021/914
- IP anonymisation: the last IP octet removed before storage
- Prior explicit consent: GA does not load without Accept

5. How to control cookies from your browser
In addition to the banner on the site, you can manage/delete cookies directly from your browser settings:

Note: fully disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some parts of the site (login, shopping cart, language preferences).
6. Changes to this Policy
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in the legal framework or in the services used. The date of the last update appears at the beginning of the document. The cookie banner is re-displayed when consent expires (12 months) or when the list of cookies changes significantly.
